‘Protonfall’ . by Alice B. Clagett

Dear Ones,

Solar wind ‘Protonfall’ (like ‘rainfall’, only protons) is currently rather high …

(Solar wind speed: 349.9 km/sec) X (Density: 21.0 protons/cm3) = 7350 Solar wind ‘Protonfall’.

Protonfall of 0 – 2000s = low; 3000s – 4000s = moderate, 5000s – 6000s = high, and 7000 or greater = very high.

According to “Space Weather News” this is due to denser streams of particles of solar wind penetrating Earth’s atmosphere.

Here are some of the data on the “Space Weather News” website … http://spaceweathernews.com/

  • sun watch,
  • solar news,
  • spacecraft hazards charts (indicating whether satellites and power grids are likely to be affected by solar activity),
  • aurora forecast,
  • earthquake watch,
  • long-term solar sunspot and radio flux progression

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
